Tajikistan, Afghanistan sign joint statement on cooperation

Avesta.Tj | 08.06.2015 |Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda and visiting Afghan Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah met here on Monday, Tajik presidential press service said.

During their talks, the sides discussed state and prospects of further expansion bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

Issues related to expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries was a major topic of the meeting.

Rasulzoda and Abdullah also exchanged views on issues related to development of cross-border trade between Tajikistan and Afghanistan, cargo transit and customs cooperation.

They signed a joint statement on prospects of cooperation between the two countries.

Also, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Aslov and his Afghan counterpart Salahuddin Rabbani signed a protocol on cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of Tajikistan and Afghanistan in the presence of Rasulzoda and Abdullah.
