Tajik president congratulates Lukashenko's reelection as Belarus president



Avesta.Tj | 12.10.2015 |Tajik President Emomali Rahmon congratulated Alexander Lukashenko on Monday on his re-election as Belarus leader for another five-year term.

According to the Tajik presidential press service, in his congratulation letter, Rahmon said that Lukashenko’s victory in the election indicates his high political authority and trust from the population.

Rahmon expressed his hope that Lukashenko’s actions as the head of state will contribute to development of Tajik-Belarusian bilateral partnership.

"We are ready to further expand and strengthen the bilateral cooperation between our countries on the basis of mutual respect, equality and interest”, Rahmon said.

Alexander Lukashenko has reportedly won the presidential election with 83.49 percent of the vote.

The 61-year-old Lukashenko will take the post of the Belarusian president for the fifth time.
